Andrea’s Story

I consider myself a tomboy. I take pride in the fact that I can get down and dirty or dressed up and flirty,
depending on my mood or whether or not I have a date or event. I ride my bike everywhere, I
participate in bike polo and from time to time I can be found running around in the rain with my dog and
splashing in the mud. Although I do like to dress up sometimes, I more prefer to be my natural,
beautiful self.

I like to dress-up on occasion and make myself pretty, but I’ve never considered myself a model or
anything like that. When my friend Grace asked me to model with her for a shoot photographed by Julia
Vie, I immediately said yes. I was excited about the prospect of getting some really great, sexy photos.
The shoot turned out wonderful and was so much fun. It was just like an endless session of dress-up, just with other gorgeous models and a photographer.

I love old-school glamour. And I love to feel glamorous- like a movie star or pin-up from the 40s and 50s.
I’m talking women like Betty Page, Marilyn Monroe, Katharine Hepburn, Ava Gardner, and the like. But I
never saw myself as a movie star, or glam goddess, or anything of the sort. So when Julia asked me to
participate in another photo shoot and commercial for Vivian’s Muse, of course I said yes! A chance to
be a boudoir babe or sultry seductress for a day? I’m sold!

When I arrived at Julia’s studio, I was pleasantly surprised by how perfectly decorated the space was. It
looked just like a boudoir that I’d imagined in my head while reading Madame Bovary. You just know she
had a boudoir like this one! Beautiful chaise lounges, draping curtains, voluptuous bedding, and large
windows with soft light streaming in.

Julia had all kinds of beautiful clothes and lingerie that made me proud to be a woman- fun, sexy, flirty,
and fearless. I love lingerie and have a large collection, so luckily I came prepared with all of my favorites
lingerie and did my own make-up to compliment the wardrobe. Julia made me feel so comfortable and
relaxed and most importantly- beautiful.

Doing the photo shoot was like playing dress-up as a girl. I was reminded of all the times I would try on
my mother’s heels and pearls and walk around the house posing and pretending to be a star. But that
day, I WAS the star. I love being the center of attention. I love compliments and I love feeling beautiful. I
know this may sound vain, but who cares? Lots of girls feel this way but are simply too afraid to admit it.
😉 I had such a great time vamping and posing. I can’t wait to do it again!
